HR Specialist (Compensation)

This USAJOBS position is for an HR Specialist with expertise in compensation programs such as Locality Pay, Recruitment, Relocation, Retention Incentives, pay administration, and other pay-related flexibilities. The position requires experience advising managers and employees on compensation matters, solving complex compensation-related problems and issues, and reporting on pay entitlements.

Duties:

  • Provide advice and technical guidance to managers, employees, etc., regarding compensation programs such as Locality Pay, Recruitment, Relocation, Retention Incentives, pay administration, and other pay-related flexibilities.
  • Solve complex compensation-related problems and issues.
  • Advise on setting and adjusting pay for new and current employees including General Schedule and Federal Wage System.
  • Advise on employee grievances and claims involving pay entitlements.
  • Apply various human resources management concepts, principles, laws, regulations, and practices.
