Duties: As a coder, the selected candidate will review and analyze ambulatory/inpatient medical data, code medical diagnoses and procedures, and assist the professional staff. The candidate will code disease and injury diagnoses and understand techniques in ambulatory/inpatient settings and specialties. Additionally, the selected candidate will qualitatively analyze the records to ensure accuracy, internal consistency, and correlation of recorded data and determine that diagnostic and procedural terminology is consistent with currently acceptable medical nomenclature.
