Duties: The duties of the Senior Medical Treatment Specialist include:

  • Serving as a senior specialist on all aspects of a complex medical coding system and the interpretation of standardized healthcare codes
  • Providing effective customer service, including answering incoming calls and providing technical assistance to medical providers, claimants, and other stakeholders
  • Actively participating and contributing to team projects in the area of expertise
  • Conducting fact-finding to identify trends and resolve harmful elements within the bill payment and medical authorization process
  • Serving as a technical specialist on medical bill processing systems and determining appropriate medical authorization
  • Participating in the review and analysis of medical coding processes and conducting studies of rejected bills

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
